At Fabricworks the material will have a high quality finish in a multitude of ways. Our finishing techniques include:
- Eyelets for banners boat canopy's
- Pocket edges to enable cables to be run through the fabric for hanging and other tensile purposes
- Velcro edging in order to fit fabric to frames
- Webbing to create a smart traditional finish to the fabric especially for printed media
- Zip closing and zip tension detail
The techniques above are achieved in our workshop through either the means of sewing or welding.
SewingWith
our comprehensive sewing machine facilities Fabricworks finishing
techniques can be achieved in a multitude of ways. A single or twin zig zag
stitch will be used for the purpose of joining fabrics together or a
single stitch will be used in order to create all seam styles. With the
use of an over locker we are able to create a strong professional finish
to any fabric. On external structures all seams are win turned and taped then finished using UV stable thread.
WeldingFor
all PVC based materials and PVC coated mesh the fabric will be finished
through a welding technique. Using a High Frequency welder the material
can be joined together creating a structurally strong finish preventing wicking which is
also visually neat. We can also provided a professional edge for the purpose of
banners, welding it rather than the turned and taped option. This is ideal for banners that need to be in place for a long period of time as it gives a strong to ply finish.
